Daily Medications: for Chronic Severe Asthma
Aminophylline 225mg bd (Level 10 to 15)
Prednisolone 0-40mg od (Maintenance dose=10mg)
Ventolin (salbutamol) 5mg Nebules qd and prn up to 2 hourly nebs at home
Nebusal: 7% Hypertonic Nebules -morning and evening before 20 minutes of Autogenic Drainage.
Ventolin (salbutamol) Inhaler prn
Atrovent (ipratropium)500mcg Nebules qd
Seretide 500 (fluticasone +salmeterol) Accuhaler 2 puffs bd
Carbocisteine (Mucodyne brand) capsules 375mg tid
Nasonex nasal spray 2 puffs bd
For Air Trapping/Anxiety
Diazepam 2mg prn / bd
Oxygen Use
2 L Pulse dose when out /at school during the day and PRN at home
3.5L Constant Flow overnight, every night.
4L Constant for flying.

PEP Therapy and Hypertonic Saline 7% For Airway Clearance
For Allergic Asthma component and Severe Allergic Reaction/Anaphylaxis
Telfast (fexofenadine) 120mg od
Piriton Liquid 20mls od
Epipen Injection prn (In Emergencies)
Antibiotics for Regular Chest Infections/ MRSA in Sputum;
Doxycycline 100mg od
Tetracycline 200mg qd prn
OxyTetracycline 250mg qd prn
Clarithromycin/Erithromycin-NB: interaction with Aminophylline
Daily Medication for Reflux (GERD)
Nexium (Esomeprazole) 20mg bd

Sando-K one tablet bd

Calcichew D3 2 tablets Daily
Fossamax 70mg Weekly (on a Tuesday!)
